Meeting Times and Locations

This experience is provided for those students unable to or not interested in treating a limited tooth movement patient. Scheduling is determined by student and patient availability. Please read the Ortho 631 Memo and the 631 Observation Experience instructions.

Contact Dr. Greenlee (geoffg@u.washington.edu) in the orthodontics department for assignment to an orthodontic graduate resident for observation and to be registered for the course.  Most commonly, you'll do an observation with the resident you did your Ortho 630 seminar with.

Please note

You are in charge of arranging times to observe your assigned resident and for gathering all necessary documents.

Be aware that a minimum of FOUR clinic visits are required so that you can observe some amount of change in your observed patient. Since orthodontic patients are usually seen every 4-6 weeks, it is probable that you will need more than one quarter to complete your observation. PLAN AHEAD.

Use the checklist on your observation instructions to gather all the required data to complete the assignment.
